Like many of you, I take some time at the end of every year to reflect. This year I am overcome with emotions of putting 2020 in the rear view mirror and walking forward into 2021.
2020 has been hard, but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t worth it or that I have regrets. Quite the opposite truly.
My daughter is truly coming into her own! It’s amazing to see how she learned to crawl, walk, run and climb all in the same year. Her sense of discovery has been amazing to witness. She knows she wants and is starting to tell us… pros and cons for sure!
My son has taken the year by storm- creating and paving his own way! He’s picked up new hobbies (not that he needed any more). He is learning to golf and surf! Turning into a SoCal boy!
My husband has been lucky enough to work from home- so we’ve shared some extra lunches and luckily changed some extra diapers throughout the days as well. He’s been able to share in so many of our daughter’s firsts- her first word, her first steps, and her first climb on top of the table… and boy was she proud!
As for me, I learned to bake a lot of different things- which if you know me at all, is surprising to say the least. Our kitchen is filled with wonderful smells- birthday cakes, cookies, bread, soft pretzels.
We had lots of family time- watched all 8 Harry Potter Movies and 9 Star Wars Movies. Ate a lot of popcorn. We learned to give each other sub par haircuts. We played board games- new family favorite, THROW THROW BURRITO!!!!
And for Young Whimsy- it’s surely been an emotional road for all those involved… Open, closed, and reopened all within a matter of months. We are thrilled to be working with Bethany and getting back up and running for Spring 2021! It’s hard to believe it’s been about 6 weeks, since Christy and I got started. We’ve had backyard work sessions and driveway fittings. We’ve relooked at sizing and developed a style plan going forward with customer favorites and a few new things to come. Samples are being made RIGHT NOW and we can’t wait to do a few sneaks over the next month. We are incredibly honored to be a part of the Young Whimsy community and can not wait to see what 2021 brings!
If we can rock 2020, the sky's the limit for 2021 and beyond!

Until then, keep moving forward.
Keep smiling. Keep laughing. Keep learning.
Love,
Aimee
